Who is Zachary Warner? The Unknown Story of Kurt Warner’s Son

Zachary Warner -As the NFL season kicks off, fans are talking about Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Ezekiel Elliott. But there’s one player whose name you probably haven’t heard yet: Zachary Warner, son of Kurt Warner (widely considered one of the best players in the history of football). This year, he made his debut on the Junior Varsity team at Maranatha High School in California—and he may be one of its best players ever.

A Super Bowl Ring

Zachary Warner was born to Kurt and Brenda Warner on December 4th, 1986. A few weeks after he was born, the family moved to Iowa where his father attended law school at University of Iowa in Iowa City. As a child, he didn’t have much interest in sports and would rather hang out with his brother Matt. However, when Zachary and Matt played neighborhood football together, they would always pretend they were dad playing for the Vikings.
His love for football really came about during middle school, which also happened to be around the time that his brother Matt signed as a walk-on to play wide receiver at Northern Iowa. His love quickly grew into passion and soon Zachary was working out each day like an athlete preparing for one last big game.
Around their parents’ house, however, you’d never know either one played a sport because neither displayed any memorabilia or posters dedicated to their athletic achievement; they were simply athletes hoping someday it could help them pay off student loans or put food on their families’ tables.

A Promising Football Career Cut Short

Zachary Warner was a football player who was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in 1999. His football career was cut short after he broke his leg in a college game. After his injury, he returned to school and earned a degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. He now works for the Arizona Cardinals as their Director of Football Technology.
Zachany never got to experience playing on one of the top teams in professional football, but he still found success as an NFL executive and has had an impact on the team that drafted him.
In 1999, 21-year old Zachary Warner was invited to play for a Cardinals rookie tryout during training camp. He played two seasons with Arizona before suffering a broken leg during his sophomore year at Brigham Young University (BYU).
While many athletes might have quit after losing their spot on a professional team, Warner chose not to let it end his career or hope for another shot at making it big. He went back home and finished his degree in management information systems at BYU while rehabbing his injured leg so that he could walk normally again; if he couldn’t play football anymore, maybe he could play something else – although even then, walking wasn’t always easy.

Moving Away From Football

Zachary Warner, son of former NFL quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Kurt Warner, was not a football player. In fact, he never played a down of organized football before college. He was more into hockey and baseball growing up in Cedar Falls Iowa, which made sense because his father won the Heisman trophy at Northern Iowa University as well as the National Championship with Arizona State University.
One day when Zachary was playing outside with his friends, they convinced him to come out for the football team. He agreed and became a star player on both offense and defense. It did not take long for scouts from various colleges to come knocking on his door looking for that number 23 jersey. The only problem was that he wanted nothing to do with football after high school.

Becoming an Entrepreneur

Kurt Warner, the 1999 NFL MVP and Super Bowl XXXIV Champion, is one of the most successful quarterbacks in NFL history. But his son Zachary has been making a name for himself on the gridiron too. Zachary was born with Spinal Bifida and, while he can’t walk or use his hands like most kids, he can kick a football with perfect form and accuracy.
Zachary has become something of an internet sensation because of this skill set and now hopes to earn a scholarship from the University of Iowa. Zachary Warner has always had a strong connection to the game of football. Growing up, he could often be seen on the sidelines, cheering for his dad as he led the St. Louis Rams to victory in Super Bowl XXXIV. As time went on, Zachary became more and more involved in his father’s team and inevitably followed in his footsteps.
Shortly after graduating from college with a degree in Sports Management, he began working as an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Rams. He was then promoted to assistant head coach and oversaw various aspects including scouting opponents, coordinating off-season programs, developing game plans and designing drills and workouts for players.
